Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) was established as an umbrella Association for Practitioners of Personnel Management in 1968 as the Personnel Management Association of Nigeria. In 1973, it was renamed as Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. Finally, Act No 58 of 1992 chartered the Institute.

For the past 50 years, the Institute has championed the development of the HR profession experience, We have a poolof highly experienced and specialist service management professionals and subject matter experts (SMEs) in contemporary issues.

We focus on transfer of Learning to the workplace, beyond the classroom experience of the programme.

We continously engage in studies and research to ensure that the knowledge base of the Institute from which our programmes draw is up to date in line with current practice and thinking.
