Defensive Driving and Maintenance Cost Savings

This training dwells on collision prevention through hazard recognition and application of collision avoidance techniques. This training will also address common driving violations that may result in collisions, and how to effect driving habits to eliminate traffic violations. On completion of this course participants will be able to:

• Define reasonable action and preventable collisions.
• Determine one’s personal driving profile attitudes, behaviours, and habits of defensive driving.
• Basic steps in the DDC Collision Prevention and explain the defensive driving techniques.
• List of the vehicle equipment that must be checked before driving or at regular intervals.
• Describe the characteristics of impaired, distracted, fatigued and aggressive drivers.
• Techniques to manage drivers’ emotions and behaviours while driving.
• Explain the steps needed to complete a safe pass–
• Recognize the hazards in collision scenarios.
