Monitoring and Evaluation are essential tools for successful program implementation and management. Their importance elevates for contemporary projects as they are being enacted in an extremely complex and constantly evolving environments. The uniqueness of each program’s context and strategy requires an ongoing learning effort. As community and development projects are being financed through public sources, the donors and other stakeholders demand demonstrated achievements in sustainable changes. Measuring the progress of community and development projects can be attained only through incorporating M&E tools into the project design is the only tangible way to ensure accountability and transparency of project performance.
Program Objectives
- Acquire quality knowledge of theories and approaches to Development Project Monitoring & Evaluation
- Use various soft and managerial skills to ensure stakeholder participation in M&E Processes
- Design and apply various mechanisms for Participatory project M&E
- Plan for an operational monitoring and evaluation system: identify purposes and intended users, define data management plan, and allocate resources.
- Activate and run the M and E system: collect, triangulate, process, and analyse program or project data and prepare progress reports.
- Improve professional capacity to formulate, monitor and evaluate projects.
