Structural Condition Assessment of Existing Buildings and Structures
NGN 205,000
|
Venue: 13, John Olugbo Street, Off Mojidi Street, Off Toyin Street, Ikeja - Lagos.
Evaluating the condition of an existing structure - a building, a dam, a bridge - is a vitally important exercise carried out by those in the engineering profession. But there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach for such a task. State-of-the-art information on visual inspections, destructive and nondestructive testing (NDT), and the hands-on experience provided in this workshop, are essential for those involved in evaluating concrete, masonry, wood, and metal structures. Different situations, conditions and materials - concrete, wood, metal, stone - require different techniques and testing procedures.
This three-day course covers material evaluation practices and procedures used for assessing the structural condition of existing structures. It covers many aspects of evaluating structures and structural material conditions. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to
ï· Plan and conduct a condition survey for concrete, masonry, wood and metal structures.
ï· Develop a condition survey inspection checklist.
ï· Design a materials evaluation program for your structural condition assessment projects.
ï· Select the best destructive and nondestructive testing techniques for your projects.
